Jazz on the Tube
Several months back, my good friend D.D. Delaney forwarded me a link to jazzonthetube.com, which bills itself as “the Internet’s jazz video search engine.” I immediately signed up for a free subscription, and each morning I receive a link to a different jazz video. If you’d like to subscribe, visit the web site and enter your email address at the bottom of the page. Meanwhile, we’ll be posting our pick of the week on TReehouse. Enjoy. – TR
August's pick: Keith Jarret "Danny Boy"
July's pick: Wynton Marsalis "My Ship"
Art Blakey and a young Wynton Marsalis
play "My Ship," a melody popularized
by Miles Davis when he played in
a band with Gil Evans.
June's Pick: John Coltrane’s “I Want to Talk to You.”
John Coltrane, with his impeccable quartet
McCoy Tyner on piano
Jimmy Garrison on bass
Elvin Jones on the drums
