Change Your Mind

New CD from Julie Clark features all original material

Award-winning Norfolk-based singer-songwriter Julie Clark has just released a new CD, Change Your Mind (Great Big Records). It’s her second full-length CD of all new material. Watch for a review of the album and interview with the artist in an upcoming issue of TReehouse. The song featured here is called “Superman.”

The lyrics couldn’t be timelier:
“Superman died today/the Daily Planet broke the story / of a fallen Super-hero, so much admired / a mild-mannered frequent flyer / with a job description / to save the day for Truth & Justice and the American Way / they’re all sayin’ his position was somewhat overrated / and due to budget short-falls / it’s been eliminated.”

(Editor’s note: Frankly, we’re surprised the Daily Planet had enough reporters remaining on staff to cover the story at all.)
